Course ID: MTSS-2
Length: 2 days
Description: This fast-paced course teaches participants how to solve assembly stacks using three, classical and and two, Six Sigma methods. Participants analyze stacks using both coordinate tolerances and geometric tolerances. Participants optimize designs by making trade-offs between assembly defects and manufacturing defects.
Learning Objectives: Participants will:
- create 1-dimensional a loop diagrams,
- analyze tolerance stacks using three, classical methods and make trade-offs,
- analyze stacks with geometric tolerances,
- allocate tolerance stacks using two, Six Sigma methods,
- predict assembly defects, and
- predict manufacturing defects.
Who Should Attend:
- Engineering managers
- Design engineers
- Manufacturing engineers
- Six Sigma blackbelts/greenbelts/specialists/ etc.
- Anyone interested in Six Sigma/Lean methodologies.
Outline: Please contact us for the course outline.
Participants will receive an Excel spreadsheet, which we call MechTOLTM Lite, to automate the methods learned in this course.
Course ID: MTSS-3
Length: 3 days
Description: This course expands the topics from MTSS-2 and applies them to 2-dimesional and 3-dimennsional tolerance stacks.
